My work usually begins before the first interview: research design and sampling, building instruments, programming them in SurveyCTO or ODK with quality checks built in, and training the teams who use them. In the field I run supervision, back-check and audio-audit routines and report daily to principal investigators. Before ARCED I spent five years as Senior Research Officer (R&D) at Chowdhury Group — where the habit of building systems for other people began.
